Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

In order to keep our classroom organized and productive, I have established some expectations that my students will be required to follow when they are in my classroom throughout the school year.

Foxroad focuses on PBIS, or Positive Behavior Intervention System. All of the classroom expectations follow the guidelines of PBIS and our school matrix. PBIS is a program that is rewarding to children, and gives every child the opportunity to succeed.

In order to have good communication between parents, students, and teachers, I am asking that you please check your child’s agenda nightly. Any notes about your child’s day will be in the agenda.

My contact information can be found below.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have.  Also, my teacher website contains a lot of classroom information, ways to contact me and/or it is a place for you and your child to visit for extra support/activities. It is a great resource and I hope you and your son/daughter enjoy it.

Behavior Chart:

  • In my classroom I have behavior chart, everyday students will begin on "READY TO LEARN", it will be their choice as to whether or not they move up or down on the behavior chart.  If they move up that's great! They will be recognized and rewarded for excellent behavior! If they move down it means they are not making good choices. They can move up and down all day long until it is time to pack up for the day.

  • In their agendas they will note where they landed daily.

  •  If they land on "parent contact" than you will see a letter come home that I expect the child to review with you and return in the following day.

Dojo:

  • In my classroom I have will use DOJO as an incentive for meeting classroom and school wide expectations.

  • When a student is “Caught being swift,” I will give students a point on their DOJO Monster.

  • All students will be able to earn the chance to earn a point at any time throughout the day.

  • If a student is caught being "swift" this is also a way for students to move up on the behavior chart.
